R ‘n’ B Singer R Kelly has had multiple sexual abuse and misconduct allegations made against him dating back to the 1990s.
Now, a three-part docu-series ‘Surviving R Kelly’ has aired on U.S. channel Lifetime.
The programme details the allegations made against the singer/songwriter ranging from physical abuse to holding women in his home in a ‘cult-like’ organisation.
One of the women who managed to escape from R Kelly’s house is Jerhonda Pace. So what happened to Jerhonda?

What Happened to Jerhonda Pace?
In 2002, child pornography allegations surfaced against R Kelly after a video allegedly showed the then 36-year-old engaging in sex with an underage girl.
Six years later he was found ‘not guilty’ by a Chicago jury in 2008.
According to Jerhonda, she met R Kelly while he was standing trial in June 2008, where she was waiting outside of court to support him.
Jerhonda says that she was later invited to a party of R Kelly’s where they exchanged numbers. She now says that she was left traumatised after a sexual relationship with R Kelly unfolded.
According to BuzzFeed News, Jerhonda said: “She is talking now — and breaking a signed nondisclosure agreement — because she is concerned about women still living with Kelly in what police have been told is an abusive ‘cult’.”
In 2017, Jerhonda told American talk show The Real about how she escaped R Kelly’s mansion.
She said that she had to lie to get out:
I told him that I wanted to go to my uncle’s house to grab some shoes and at that moment when I knew I got out the house I was like, I’m not going back.

Where is Jerhonda Now?
Jerhonda spoke to BuzzFeed in August 2017 and said that she “decided that she didn’t want to live her life in fear any more” after engaging in a sexual relationship with R Kelly in 2009.
I will not be silenced anymore.
Jerhonda said that she wants to raise awareness to encourage other women to speak up and move forward with their lives.
R Kelly has denied all sexual misconduct allegations made against him.
Today, Jerhonda is married with three children.
Following her experience, she set up a non-profit organisation ‘A Life Beyond Abuse‘.
She featured in the docu-series ‘Surviving R Kelly’ along with many other victims as well as musicians such as Chance the Rapper and John Legend.
