Masterchef 2019 may only be at the halfway point but the application process for the 2020 series has already started.
Each year, 56 amateur bakers compete for the love of judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace and the chance to be crowned Masterchef champion.
While some budding chefs rise to the occasion, others do nothing little more than melt under the pressure.

Masterchef 2020: Apply
The application form for 2020 opened on Thursday, March 6th.
To be in with a chance of starring on the show, you will have to apply through Masterchef.com here.
The application includes questions about who your favourite chefs are and the favourite dishes that you like to cook.
The website states:
If you live and breathe food and think you have what it takes to become the next MasterChef UK Champion then apply to be a contestant.

Masterchef Requirements
There are a few basic requirements to apply for the show.
Those applying to must be over 18 years old and you must be a resident of the UK.
The form also states that entrants should not have held any previous paid chef positions. You can see the full list of criteria below:

Masterchef 2019: Final and Finalists
Initially, there are 56 amateur bakers competing against one other.
Each episode, there will be seven chefs battling it out in the kitchen to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
There are four weeks of preliminary rounds.
The first of the knockout stages will launch on Monday, March 4th, with semi-finals following, and a final week of cooking commencing in the last week of March.
