The Family Chantel: What to know about Jah's Nazarene religion

Winter Everett and Jah have been together for over six years and the latest season revealed that the pair follows Nazarene religion.

The present season has been shedding more light on Winter as she navigates through her life. With the reality star working on her body image issues, she has also been trying to work hard on her relationship. Amid this, fans were surprised to find out that Winter no longer followed Christianity.

What is Nazarene religion?

As per Screenrant, The Church of the Nazarene follows the mission that states: “go and make disciples of all nations.” The religion has its own manual published that is used by the people who follow this religion.

As per Nazarene, people who follow the religion are not allowed to smoke or drink alcohol. Meanwhile, as per Christanity.com, the Church of Nazarene practices Baptism and Communion.

How long have Winter and Jah been together?

The pair have been together for over six years but their relationship has had several ups and downs. To begin with, Winter’s family did not seem to be pleased about her being with Jah.

To begin with, the family was shocked to find out that Jah had a son. While everyone thought it would be the end of the relationship, Winter proved them wrong by sticking by him.

Despite the constant backlash towards the dealership the reality star decided to stick by Jah. Now, the pair is ready to start a new chapter of their life.

The couple’s engagement explored

In the latest episode of the show, fans got to see Winter’s engagement. This is the second time Jah popped the question as the first time proved to be a failure.

For the proposal, Jah decided to invite Winter to an escape room. He said: “Being in an escape room, you know, two people trapped together — two people that love each other trapped together — and just trying to come out of it, I just think teamwork is what’s needed in everybody’s relationship and communication is key.”

While Winter went on to accept the ring, earlier, she had admitted how things were hard. She said: “It’s definitely really hard to move forward with Jah, just looking back at our history. It’s a little difficult, but I am choosing to just move forward. Jah makes me happy and I just really want to have a happy and healthy relationship.”

With the two being engaged now, only time will tell how their relationship grows.

The Family Chantel airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on TLC.
