How The Grinch Stole Christmas will be flooding the Freeview TV schedule this holiday season.

Airing on ITV2 across the festive period, the Whos of Whoville and that gangly green Grinch help make Christmas feel all the more magical.

Although everyone knows that Hollywood superstar Jim Carrey takes the lead role, who else is in The Grinch?

And 18 years since it was first released, what does the cast of The Grinch look like now?

The Grinch Cast 2018 – Jim Carrey (The Grinch)

Jim Carrey lead this movie in tremendous fashion, depicting the hilarious Grinch perfectly.

While the likes of Eddie Murphy and Jack Nicholson were considered for the role, it was 38-at-the-time Jim who got the nod.

Prior to the movie, Jim Carrey had just finished filming The Mask, Acen Ventura and Dumb and Dumber – basically, his crazy facial expressions were in peak condition!

Now 56, and 57 in January, Jim hasn’t had a lead role since Dumb and Dumber To in 2014.

He’s aged very well, though!

Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who)

The actor who played Cindy Lou Who was called Taylor Momsen, and she was just seven years old at the time.

Following The Grinch, she continued her acting career with a following eight IMDB credits and also joined American rock band The Pretty Reckless as the lead vocalist.

Her most recognisable actress role came in Gossip Girl as Jenny Humphrey, where she held the position for five years from 2007-2012.

Now 25, little Cindy Lou looks very different!

Kelley (Max the Dog)

Obviously, one of the key actors in 2000 The Grinch was Kelley the dog.

As The Grinch’s right-hand man, poor Max found himself in sorts of trouble that Christmas.

Fortunately, however, it did lead him to another role, where Kelley the dog starred in the 2011 documentary Spoonfed Reality.

Long live Max and the Christmas tradition where people dress up their dogs just like him!
