During episode five of Made in Chelsea, we watched in toe-curling awkwardness as the SW3 boys went camping.
The scene was easily the most scripted section from series 15 so far, with a host of rehearsed lines reinforcing what it truly means to be a reality TV soap.
As with a lot of MIC content, however, the scene was so bad that it was actually quite good.
Jamie Laing, Sam Thompson, Alik Alfus, Ollie Proudlock and Francis Boulle camping – what’s not to love!

Dress to Impress
Of course, when the Made in Chelsea boys go camping, they completely overpack.
Bringing enough hiking gear to conquer Mount Everest while wearing enough fashion brands to walk the catwalk – move over TOWIE, this is what glamping should look like.
Here’s hiker number one, Jamie, sporting a lightbulb necklace and headlamp despite clearly hiking in the light of day.
He also complained that there was no phone signal.
Fresh off the Farm Francis
Hiker number two, Francis B, almost had as much Barbour in his ensemble as acres of land he owns.
He completed the look with a huge hiking bag and metal food tins as if it was an episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Coffee Shop Proudock
Hiker number three, Proudlock, completed the camping mission wearing what he wears in any and every situation.
A borg fur jacket with wispy glasses to give off the impression that he had just finished writing a blog in Starbucks.
Immediately Give Up
The trendy looking crew pretty much immediately gave up after setting up their tents.
A stranger to the crisp Autumn wind, American-born Alik Alfus was the first to throw in the towel.
Team leader Boulle tried to lead the SW3 gang back on track…
However, it was Jamie who put the nail in the coffin, leading them astray by pointing out that the nearest town was across the field.
Go on Without Me
Attempting to prove a point about how beautiful the woods were, Boulle said he would stay behind and soak up the atmosphere of snapping twigs, crunching leaves and birds chirping.
He lasted about 10 minutes…
With the boys huddled together having a beer in a local town pub and discussing “how nice” the rooms were in their B&B, a ghostly Boulle appeared in the window.
The last from the MIC crew to give up on nature, Boulle had one simple thing to say about the disastrous camping trip as he joined the others for a night locked in the pub.
We couldn’t agrree more Boulle…
