Who is the Peng Life kid? Is he actually a kid?
This is how Elijah Quashie built the pengest online presence, going from YouTube in 2016 to appearing on TV two years later.
Continue reading for everything you need to know about the boy known as the ‘Chicken Connoisseur’.
Who is the Peng Life Kid?
Enfield-born Elijah Quashie is the self-proclaimed Chicken Connoisseur.
Notoriously known for his comical food critic sketches on YouTube, called The Pengest Munch.
An internet celebrity and a fried chicken restaurant critic, Elijah took the internet by storm in 2016 when his YouTube series The Pengest Munch went viral.
This is how his character has developed from Chicken Connoisseur to the face of Peng Life.
How Old is the Peng Life Kid?
Let’s face it, Elijah would not look out of place in a secondary school, and he is in no way offended by this. He has been very ‘hush hush’ about his age and this is something he never wishes to discuss.
But, although dubbed the ‘Peng Life kid’, his age is actually 25.
Yeah, the so-called kid is a full-grown adult at 25-years-old! He was 21 when he started!
What is The Pengest Munch?
Elijah launched his YouTube series The Pengest Munch in August 2015, and in 2016 his show went viral, gaining support from a host of celebs and other food critics.
Radio 1’s DJ Charlie Sloth and Tinie Tempah are just two of the many celebrity Chicken Connoisseurs fans.
Clucking for the Written Version?
Elijah didn’t stop there. Oh no… he knows the nation is clucking for a rundown on the best finger-licking snack joints.
Quashie put together his own book called:
The Pengest Munch: In Search of the Nation’s 50 Favourite Chicken Establishments.
Now, if that is not enough for you to adequately select the best bang for your buck when you stumble out of a nightclub at 3 am… we don’t know what is!
Peng Life on Channel 4
Seeing as his fans simply cannot get enough, Channel 4 hit up Mr Quashie and wanted to help bring his talent to the TV screen.
Elijah and his twin mates, Nelson and Wilson, will be the talented trio testing out some of the most luxurious experiences money can buy.
From private jets to supercars, and the world’s most expensive kebab. If you thought this man could only judge the quality of a bit of fried chicken… you were very wrong.
WATCH PENG LIFE EVERY FRIDAY FROM AUGUST 10TH ON CHANNEL, AT 11:05 PM.
