Top Gear returned for its twenty-ninth series in October 2020 and already this series is being hailed as one of the best in years.
And we bet a lot of that has to do with the change in hosts.
With Freddie Flintoff and Take Me Out’s Paddy McGuinness joining Chris Harris as the regular hosts, we’re not only in for hosts with killer sporting knowledge but also for some hilarious banter along the way.
But with these two towering above Chris, many have wondered just how tall Chris Harris actually is. Has he been dwarfed by his co-hosts or is he actually much shorter than them?
Here’s everything you need to know!
Chris Harris: Height
As soon as Top Gear season 29 began, fans noticed how much smaller Chris looked than his co-hosts. But Chris Harris is below the average height of a man in the UK, standing at 5ft 7 1/2 inches.
We think the optical illusion that he is much smaller has to do with the height difference between Chris, Paddy and Freddie.
Paddy McGuinness is much taller at 6ft 1, but Freddie Flintoff makes the other two look minuscule as he is 6ft 4!
Chris Harris on Top Gear
Chris has been involved with the show since he started making regular appearances back in 2016 on season 23.
The racing driver was a natural fit on the show and they stepped up his role when he was asked to join the main trio of presenters in 2017. Since then he has been leading the show as the self-confessed “car nerd” and beloved by fans.
What does Chris think of Paddy and Freddie?
Any show which chooses to introduce new presenters is always taking a risk, deviating from what people know and love. But with Top Gear, there has been a need to change for a while.
Although many people miss the original trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May (who were in action from season 2 to 22), we think these three might be the best combination of hosts since them!
I miss not working with Matt LeBlanc. He’ll always be a pal and we’re still in regular contact, but he needed to be nearer home in LA.
Sounds like Chris misses 5ft 10 Matt more than the towering two!
