The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back with a brand new season.
Season 11 premiered on Bravo TV Sunday, November 4th – things have certainly changed since last season for the ladies but will it all work out right or end in tears?
Here’s what happened on The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 11 episode 1!
Porsha Williams is Settling Down
After five months together, Porsha’s looking for a ring with her beau, Dennis McKinley, in episode 1.
Porsha explained that she went to a club that Dennis owned and as soon as the pair met they knew they had a connection.
Xscape Are Back Together
Kandi Burruss is a singer in the girl group Xscape, they were big in the 90’s and have reunited 25 years later, now they’re selling out concerts all over again.
In episode 1 Kandi and her group go to LA together to receive an ASCAP award.
Cynthia is Loved Up
In episode 1 we’re introduced to Cynthia Bailey’s new man, Mike Hill.
Cynthia said the pair met through Steve Harvey and have been dating for three months.
Mike works for Fox Sports and lives in LA so they have a long distance relationship.
Mike said: “I’ve been made a better person because you’re in my life.”
Nene Gets Some Bad News
Mrs Leakes is working at her shop, Swagg Boutique, when Porsha comes by with a bunch of flowers for her husband, Gregg Leakes.
She received some tragic news in the previous few months that her husband has stage three colon cancer.
Porsha took the opportunity to try and lift Nene’s spirits and tried on some outfits in the shop.
Porsha danced around in a tie-dye two-piece, she said: “I’m just walking around cooking up some eggs! Oh, you want some pancakes? Check the oven!”
Porsha said:
The best thing I can do for Nene right now is make her laugh.
Gregg Leakes Has Cancer
Episode 1 of RHOA was very emotional.
Nene explained that after her husband was diagnosed with cancer she’s had to be the rock of her family.
Nene got Gregg out of bed to go downstairs and see his friends and family.
They had all come over to Gregg and Nene’s house to pray together and help lift Greggs spirits to get him through his cancer recovery.
Gregg is recovering from surgery after being admitted to hospital and being operated on the same day.
He said he genuinely was unsure whether he’d return home to his family and wrote a letter to them which he gave to the doctor in case he didn’t make it.
Eva Marcille’s Getting Married
This episode we met Eva’s family.
Eva, her fiance, Michael Sterling, daughter, Marley Rae and their son, Michael Sterling Jr. make up the Marcille-Sterling family.
The last time viewers saw Eva on the reunion she was about to give birth, now she has a family of four and she and Michael’s wedding is said to air this season on RHOA.
