UK’s Strongest Man 2018 is currently airing on Channel 5.

The latest series starts at 7 pm every Wednesday night with the competition lasting for five episodes and finishing on December 19th.

However, the competition is not filmed live and was wrapped up over summer.

Who Won UK’s Strongest Man?

This year’s winner was Irishman Pa O’Dwyer.

The 33-year-old finished the competition with 30 points, narrowly seeing off Phil Roberts who finished in second place with 29 points.

Third place belonged to reigning champion Lawrence Shahlaei.

How Did it End?

It all went down to the final event where Pa was sitting in third at the time, behind both reigning champion Lawrence, and Phil.

However, Pa powered through the Stones of Strength round to win the competition in dramatic fashion – he was the only contestant to lift all eight stones!

Phil and Lawrence could only muster five and three stones respectively.

Who is Pa O’Dwyer?

Pa is a 33-year-old strongman competitor who has claimed two consecutive Ireland Strongest Man titles.

He finished third in the 2017 UK Strongest Man Competition, which was his best-ever finish ahead of the 2018 competition.

Pa is 6ft 2, weighs 138 kg and is known as the Limerick Lion.
