The Undateables is back on our TV screens, with series 9 airing every week from Monday (September 10th) on Channel 4, at 9 pm.
The heart-warming reality TV documentary follows the lives of singletons with learning difficulties and/or disadvantages as they take on the modern world of dating.
Since its inception in 2012, Undateables has been nominated for both the BAFTA Television Award and the Diversity in Media Award.
Characters on the show are always lovable, open and charming, often educating the audience on the misconceptions that surround their disadvantages.

The 22-year-old film fanatic is a self-confessed sucker for romance. She’s just moved back to Lincolnshire after finishing her degree and has wants her own movie romance.
Charlotte has Asperger’s, and is armed with some amazing quotes:
Attempting to explain the appeal of cinema, Charlotte said: It’s an escape… You can go to the cinema and see a love story between a woman and a fish man!”
James is introduced to the Undateables scene during episode one. Boasting a full repertoire of chat-up lines, the man from Hampshire has the levels of confidence that we all aspire to have.
He flys solo in his own bachelor pad and won’t let Down’s syndrome stop him from meeting the woman of his dreams.
The final figure from episode one is Mitch from Southampton.
Stylish and confident in his appearance, James just can’t seem to find Mr Right. Born deaf and relying on the incredible skill of lip reading, dating has proved a little complicated for the 24-year-old.

Star of episode 2 is costume designer Rory. The 22-year-old from Coventry has never had a girlfriend or even been on a date, so everything is completely new to him.
Coping with Asperger’s has been a difficult aspect of his life, although Rory wants nothing more than to meet a girl with an equal love of horror films.
Talking about what it meants to have a GF, Rory said: You care about someone, you’re always there for them in their darkest hours. And you’re also there to give them big hugs. And kisses’.”
