Behind the voices on Watership Down 2018 there is a star-studded line-up of celebrities.

The iconic 1978 short-film has been adapted by the BBC and Netflix and will air over the weekend of Saturday, December 22nd.

While there are many voices you probably recognise, it’s difficult to distinguish certain celebs when they all look like cute little bunny rabbits.

Watership Down 2018 Cast – Hazel

The voice of Hazel is Scottish actor James McAvoy.

James is famous for his roles in films such as X Men, Filth and The Last King of Scotland.

Watership Down Voice – Fiver

Fiver is also played by yet another top British actor and X Men star.

Nicholas Hoult, who made his name in About A Boy, lends his voice to Fiver.

Watership Down Voice – General Woundwort

Ben Kingsley has a huge filmography with almost 150 credits on IMDB.

The 75-year-old has played hero, villain and everything in-between over his career, lending his voice to famous characters such as Bagheera in Jungle Book (2016).

The big Brit actors don’t stop there, with BigWig being portrayed by John Boyega.

John is the star of the new Disney Star Wars franchise.

The voicing cast also includes Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia, Quantum of Solace) as Clover and Miles Jupp (Tarzan, Sherlock Holmes) as Blackberry.

When is Watership Down on TV?

Part one of Watership Down (2018) is on Freeview TV this Saturday – December 22nd.

It will air on BBC One at 7 pm.

Part two will air the following day on Sunday, December 23rd, at 7:20 pm.

When is Watership Down on Netflix?

Watership Down will also go straight to Netflix as the two-part series is a collaboration between BBC and the online streaming platform.

Expect the series to pop up on Netflix anytime after the second episode has finished airing on Sunday, December 23rd.
