After a change of channel and an ever-revolving door of judges and hosts, it can be difficult to keep up to date with The Voice UK judging panel.

Originally a BBC property for five years, the show now resides on ITV, complementing the station’s other talent shows in X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

Following the launch of the eighth overall season – the third on ITV – let’s take a look at the latest judging panel.

will.i.am

Famous as the frontman of the chart-topping group The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am has been a mainstay on The Voice since it started in 2012.

His time on the show has resulted in a decrease in the band’s output, after a commercial peak during the mid-to-late noughties with songs such as ‘Boom Boom Pow’, ‘Where Is The Love?’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’.

Aside from his involvement with The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am has enjoyed a successful solo career, collaborating with megastars like Justin Bieber and Britney Spears.

Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer’s talent was clear for all to see when she reached the final American Idol series 3, yet it was her role in 2006 hit musical Dreamgirls that catapulted her status onto stardom.

Alongside the commercial recognition, Jennifer received unprecedented critical lauding for an acting debutant, taking home the Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for her role in the film.

Since then, she has performed at the White House and headlined the Super Bowl halftime show, and is now enjoying a stint on Broadway.

This is will be her third season on The Voice, joining as the show moved to ITV.

Sir Tom Jones

If it wasn’t for his axing for the final season on BBC, Sir Tom would have been another ever-present judge alongside will.i.am.

In a career spanning over six decades, with over 100 million records sold, he knows talent when he sees (or hears) it.

Tom has already mentored two contestants to victory and will be hoping to defend his crown after Ruti Olajugbagbe’s win last year.
