Women Who Kill E2: Dorice ‘Dee Dee’ Moore.

Who is Dorice Moore?

Dorice Donegan “Dee Dee” Moore is a 46-year-old woman from Florida.

After a string of earlier crimes including fraud and false reporting of a crime, she conjured up her most evil plot which earned her her status as a ‘black widow’ killer.

She was arrested for the murder of Abraham Shakespeare back in 2010 but convicted of first-degree murder in 2012.

What is a ‘black widow’ killer?

In the first episode of Women Who Kill, the documentary focusses on women who kill their partners or close family members. The second episode looks at ‘black widow’ killers who kill specifically for money.

After Abraham Shakespeare won $30 million in a lottery back in 2006, Dorice sought him out, befriended him, and swindled him out of his money before murdering him.

This heinous criminal plan has also given Dorice the nickname of ‘The Lottery Killer’.

Is Dorice still in prison?

Dorice is sentenced to life in prison at the Lowell Correctional Centre in Florida.

This sentence is without the possibility of parole – so her sentence is pretty much set in stone.

On top of the first-degree murder charge, Dorice was sentenced with a minimum of 25 years for possession of a gun in a violent crime in December 2012.

The evidence was stacked against Dorice despite her denial of the crime.
