But where have you heard her voice before and why does it sound so familiar?

Jennifer Saunders.

Why do I recognise her voice?

Despite her extensive acting career, 60-year-old Jennifer has also worked multiple times as a voice actor.

She has voiced characters from the Fairy Godmother in Shrek 2 to Queen Elizabeth II in Minions and worked in other fabulous animated films such as Coraline and Sing.

And who could forget the Fairy Godmother’s iconic rendition of ‘I Need A Hero’ in the second instalment of the Shrek franchise?

Does Jennifer narrate any other shows?

Yes!

According to her Voice Talent agency, Jennifer has also narrated other shows such as Channel 4’s Laughing At The 90s and has been the voice of many TV adverts.

No wonder her dulcet tones were chosen for Hard to Please OAPs.
