Who plays James Bailey?
Playing corrie newcomer James Bailey is 29-year old actor Nathan Graham.
The actor comes from Leeds and studied musical theatre at the prestigious Bird College.
Nathan will begin playing James Bailey on ITV‘s Coronation Street in June 2019.
What is his character’s storyline?
Nathan will be playing James Bailey, a 19-year-old footballer who moves to the Corrie cobbles with his mum dad and big brother.
To outsiders, James seems to be smashing life playing football for Weatherfield County, but he is actually living with a closely guarded secret.
Still hiding the fact that he is gay from family and friends, Corrie will follow James on his journey as he reveals his sexuality to his teammates and loved ones.

Has he been on TV before?
From the looks of things, Nathan’s role on Corrie will be his first time appearing on a TV show!
Although not having much television experience, the actor has been in some major stage productions, including Dream Girls and Miss Saigon.
He also did a short film called Bus Stop Romeo, so it’s safe to say he will be well at home on the cobbles.
