The moment series 5 of Friday Night Dinner finished, U.K viewers had one question.

When is the new series?

The hilarious Channel 4 series has cemented itself as an iconic comedy staple, offering classic British humour with family characters that we can all relate to in some way or another.

Hopefully not Jim.

Here’s everything you need to know about Friday Night Dinner series 6!

Will There be a New Series of Friday Night Dinner?

Yet to be confirmed.

Unfortunately, Channel4 are yet to confirm whether there will be a series 6 of Friday Night Dinner.

Series 5 aired six episodes in total and concluded on June 8th, 2018.

What Are the Chances of Friday Night Dinner Returning?

Unless members of the cast decide to move on, we’d say the chances are pretty high.

Series 1 reached viewing figures of 1.5 million and although the numbers have since taken a slight dip, the show has continued to hover around the one million mark in 2018.

Its fingers crossed that the likes of Tom Rosenthal (Johnny) and Simon Bird (Adam) are keen to make another series.

When is Friday Night Dinner on TV?

Of course, we need confirmation as to a new series starting, first!

However, should Friday Night Dinner return, it will rejoin Channel 4.

Naturally, the only day it can air is Friday, with 10 pm the usual designated spot.

Meet Johnny!

Johnny is played by Tom Rosenthal and is one of two brothers, making up the family of four.

The 30-year-old is also an actor on Plebs and a stand-up comedian.

He is starting to appear more on panel shows too, and recently featured on new Comedy Central programme Roast Battle, where he called fellow comedian Chris Ramsey a “Lego haired lesbian”.

Tom also has a very unique Instagram page, where he gifts his 24,000 followers with the same pose in every picture.

Of course, that’s him putting up his fingers in various places across the world.
