Who was the favourite to win?
Brooke Lynn Heights was tipped for glory having dominated most of the stage and show events throughout the series.
That said, most RuPaul fans seemed like they were going to be happy with any result so long as the season’s pantomime villain, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, didn’t claim the crown.
Meet season 11 winner Yvie Oddly!
Yvie is a 25-year-old from Denver, Colorado, who goes by the name of Jovan Bridges when not on stage.
She headed into the competition with a strong following on social media and now boasts over 600,000 followers on her Instagram – @oddlyyvie.
And 200,000 of them came in her final week on the show alone!
What you may not know about Yvie is that she suffers from a very rare condition called Ehler-Danlos Syndrome.
The condition, often abbreviated to EDS, affects the connective tissues in your skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, internal organs and bones.
It means that Yvie is very susceptible to dislocating her joints while a side effect sees extra skin forming around the face and scalp due to a lack of collagen.
Did the right queen win?
Opinions on Twitter have been split – to say the least!
Some fans were outraged that Brooke didn’t win, as she stepped up to the table to produce yet another show-stopping display – just like she had done all season.
After all, there was more than one reason why Brooke was the favourite to win!

Just saying if Brook Lynn Heights doesn’t win #rupaulsdragrace I’m gonna riot

However, others felt that Yvie equally deserved the crown having battled through the series and confronting her demons when it came to her scalp disease.
Unique, powerful and inspirational – is that not enough to award Yvie with the crown?
